Slow it down son...By Saul Wilks

It might just be down to the fact that I haven't had a jump for a week but I've had the proper horn for some sleazed up and slowed down sounds lately (hang tight, there's mix coming)...

I've been picking through some recent and not so recent numbers to post up, most of which have been getting  a pure hammering on my decks and ipod over the last week or so, so here's a double dose of sexual chocolate for you to go and gorge on...

I wont blurt on too much, there's method in my sexual madness and it doesn't come more slinky than this gorgeous slice of sleaze courtesy of the Dead Rose Music Company. Its got sex written all over it, and if like me your bird lives in another city it's records like this that keep that insatiable burn deep in the groin roaring away, ready to go at the first available opportunity.. eh, yeah... Check out the record. Blinding stuff.

Good stuff eh? Following on from the goodness that is Dead Rose Music Comapny I've been addicted to this  killer lick from High Fashion. This is a pure  grinding slow electro-funk number that must have been made whilst the whole band were high from snorting Viagra, make so mistake, it's that horny. From the first beat it drips with sleaze and I love it, mainly because it's a wicked record, but mostly because it makes me want to get naked and touch my girlfriend which if you think about it from a sexual charged perspective, like I am now, is pretty much what all music should aim to do.. apart from gospel, buts that's a god thing so you know.

Cabourn Swedish Parka...By Saul Wilks

Truth be told, I've had more bargains lately than most I know. I'm a magnet to them, they seek me out just as much as I long for them. I sometimes have to wait a little while but when they arrive they're pretty much as good as they come.

Check my pals over at Dope Factory in Italy, sorting me right out once again and more than living up to their self professed title. They're pretty dope, let us make no bones about it. Thanks to the kind chaps in the boot shaped country I was hooked up with one of the nicest bits of Cabourn from the past few years, the Swedish Parka in white. Forget the pony versions that were swamping ebay, this is the one, son.

What can I say about this jacket? Lets start with - it's amazing. No, wait, it's better than that. It's sexual. It's got more heat than Ra himself, i'm in love with a piece of clothing, blah blah blah.

Enough of the prattle, let's get down to the nitty gritty. I've taken some boss photos, because that's how we do it here, so just sit back and get the kleenex ready.

Dope Factory? Dope indeed sir.

A few recent pick ups...By Saul Wilks.

I haven't posted any clobber content for a little while and I've made some pretty nifty purchases of late so I thought it best to stick some blurb and photos up for all and sundry to have a gander at.

Firstly, let me just say that these days the incoming is only supplemented by the outgoing and straight off purchases these days are very rare indeed. However, it makes me more horny for the bargain and I've developed a decent talent of sniffing them out and pouncing.

Two nice trifles to get through here, first up a very neat and tidy pair of Edwin 55 chinos, perfect substitute to denim. I love the cut on the 55's, having had a few pairs of the denim variation over the years. The cut is slim from the thigh down, so a nice fitting tapered leg, but not too tight.

Decent pick up off, ready to roll for those walking adventures when my heads on cloud 9 and moon boots wont keep me on the ground.

Secondly, to follow on from these fine pantaloons is this rather delightful Ralph Lauren which i'm sure is itching for some sunshine.. like all of us no doubt.

Pretty much straight up classic, ace for when the weather turns and in one of the best colours available (in one's humble opinion of course).

Some Date's For Your Raving Diary... by Shaun Dangerfield

Boogie Cartel parties ? Go on then.....

First up on Feb 25th we are part of a pretty big electronic disco night in London at Scala in Kings Cross.
A pleasure to be hosting our own room from 9pm - 6am, a heavy hitter of a night that involve's DJ's and act's such as Mylo, Aeroplane, Mighty Mouse, Lindstrom, Brodinski, Cosmonauts and others.

You can get your tickets on Resident Advisor here... http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?312386

It holds around 1300 people and I know the facebook page alone has around 550 people and R/A is showing 314 attending so if you do fancy it I would advise to buy your tickets in advance for this one as it will sell out, and if you do turn out make sure you come and say hello and share a beer or substance with us.

We have a few thing's in the pipeline but we'll release them as we go along, one to share though and maybe plan for you for those who fancy it is the Easter Sunday Discovery special at the Horse & Groom in Shoreditch London.
Boogie Cartel hosting upstairs and Mark E with Discovery hosting downstairs.
Forget your chocolate and Easter egg hunt pack yourself a picnic and come and spend it getting down with us.
Again there is a good chance this will sell out so if you do fancy it you can buy your tickets here.... http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?329208

Have a good weekend boppers.

A Bit Of Sole.... by Shaun Dangerfield

I got them out the box. sat there and stroked them on my lap for a little while. It was pretty sexual.
I've always had a thing for blue suede shoes (no Elvis) and to be fair these are by far the nicest I've picked up. I said I wouldn't invest in any more Yuketen but I obviously lie to myself, I can't trust myself with myself but I can wear some nice boot's.
Does that make me a liar ? probably.
Does that worry me ? Not as much as the fact in that I talk and lie to myself.

Next up is a lovely little sample piece from Oliver Spencer in his travel jacket, the photo's are a bit unclear as there was no natural light when I took the photo's so it look's sky blue in block colour but it is more of a seersucker.
Ready for summer. First job is just to get an extra button attached on the neckline to keep it held together for a different look.

Stately homes and Strolls - A photographic diary...By Saul Wilks

I've been having a right royal time with my camera of late, hence all the photo diaries that I've been sticking up. This small collection of pictures were taken at a local historical landmark, Tredegar House, which has stood in Newport for over 600 years. The house that is visible today dates back to the 1600 when it was owned by the Morgan family and later Lord Tredegar himself. Being somewhat of a History buff and with a vivid imagination to boot, I had a pretty ace time exploring the old coach yards, now green with moss and weeds, walking the long and expansive grounds and idling time away by the crystal clear lakes imagining who might have traced the same footsteps in days gone by.

Aside from its obvious beauty this magnificent house also holds a certain irony, unless you were aware of its presence then you wouldn't know it was there as it's now located in the middle of a less than desirable estate. Where once the scent of hanging game perhaps peppered the air and the echo of horse hoofs reverberated  around the grand court yards, now linger the aroma of dog feces and car exhaust fumes. Life eh?

The fading light of day - A photographic Diary...By Saul Wilks

I seldom enjoy a quiet Sunday these days but when they come around I like to make the most of them. As it goes, today was a perfect example of the crisp and beautiful Winters day, the fading light, the frosty ground, the breath in front of your face when exhaling. All the elements of what makes winter so gorgeous were present, so I took my camera and my girlfriend to a place that is very special to me for personal reasons to try and capture some of that mind melting aura that makes you realise how lucky we are...

I hope you enjoy.
